The estimated ventilation ratio is based on the assumption of reaching a steady state, where the CO2 concentration inside the assessed space reaches a stable level.

It assumes a constant and known level of CO2 in the surrounding outdoor air. The calculation is based on average CO2 generation values per person for the chosen activity.
